your favorite video game streamer is. While you ponder that lets jump into today’s
list of the Top 10 Celebrities You Didn’t Know Are Massive Gamers #10 Jack Black
If you never knew who Jack Black was and someone showed you a photo of him, I guarantee you’d
say – Yeah I bet hes a gamer. But for those who are fans of his appearances
in movies or television shows it seems hard to believe that Jack would have time to indulge
in a bit of gaming. However with the release of his new channel
called Jablinski Games, Jack came out as a massive celebrity gamer and that’s not just
a joke about his weight, this guy really loves video games. In 2009 Jack even starred in the video game
Brutal Legend which brought together his love for both music and gaming. With the amount of star power that Jack Black
carries hes been able to garner over four million subscribers for his YouTube channel
that as we mentioned is mostly based around video games with some other trending challenges
thrown into the mix. #9 Simon Pegg
Simon Pegg is well aware of the way things used to be when you were quote unquote a nerd. Years of being at the bottom of any social
ladder will certainly make you hold back any outward expressions of joy for nerdy or gaming
related matters. However in todays culture its the nerds and
gamers who have risen to the top. This has become even more apparent in the
nerd slash gaming influences that Simon has insisted as being part of the films hes in. Along with director Edgar Wright the pair
proudly show off their gaming roots in the TV series Spaced where Pegg’s character is
playing a game of Tomb Raider. Even in Shaun of the Dead his character is
plopped on the couch playing a game of TimeSplitters 2 Pegg even has said in interviews that he
plays games such as Minecraft to keep in contact with his daughter while hes away for work. #8 Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba was every nerds dream girl after her starring role in Fantastic Four and Sin
City. Along with those nerdier roles, Alba has also
admitted shes been an avid gamer ever since she was a child. In one interview she recounts playing games
such as Bomberman, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros and even Zelda. So clearly this celebrities massive gaming
addiction is purely Nintendo base. When the Wii dropped, Jessica Alba was given
an even better rationale for playing video games because now it involved at least some
sort of physical exercise. As of late her gaming addictions have moved
towards more portable devices. After the filming of Fantastic Four Rise of
the Silver Surfer Jessica Alba even gifted a Nintendo DS for each of her fellow cast
members. #7 Megan Fox
Megan Fox is yet again another celebrity who has kept her gaming addictions well hidden
from the public eye. Rising to nerd goddess level after starring
in Michael Bays Transformers she admitted to being really into the Halo franchise. While in an interview with Collider she told
the interviewer that she loved playing Halo Reach online. Saying – They have no idea. They make fun of my gamer tag too because
its funny. And they are all a bunch of guys and its clear
that I am a girl so they make fun of my name and have no idea they are making fun of me.-
Which were sure in her eyes is probably for the best. If you found out Megan Fox was on your squad
how would anything get done. It would all be dumb questions like, so whats
Optimus Prime like? #6 Zac Efron
As big of a star as Zac Efron is the video game bug has bitten him as well and even caused
distress in his personal life. After hosting a Halo 3 midnight launch even
in LA his girlfriend at the time Vanessa Hudgens didnt care for his gaming obsessions. She even gave him an ultimatum of either throwing
out his Xbox or else she would leave him. Suffice it to say that relationship ultimately
ended and the pair have never really spoken since. Perhaps hes found the happy medium by now
learning to balance acting in major films with his love for video games. Were not sure if his love for video games
goes beyond Halo, but either way this is one celebrity that was such a massive gamer he
gave up being with Vanessa Hudgens. #5 Samuel L. Jackson
Yeah you heard that correct, even agent Nick Fury loves him some video games. Jackson has even lent his voice in more video
games than most voice actors will get to do their whole career. His love for gaming is almost philosophical
though citing in one interview that he believes modern day games are very similar to film
and oftentimes have more entertainment value than most movies. Jackson was born in 1948, so hes been around
long enough to watch the complete evolution in gaming which became apparent during an
interview with access hollywood. During that interview Samuel L Jackson spoke
about playing Pong and Atari, but admitted his real obsession was with games like Grand
Theft Auto and Assassins Creed. Plus some of his favorite games to play all
happen to be first person shooters. He said – I want to play shooting games. Ill sit at home and throw down with guns in
front of the TV all day long! Give me a gun and I am all over it. I have a total enthusiasm for all these games. #4 Daniel Craig
Unlike Zac Efron Daniel Craig has found the balance of indulging his rampant video game
habits whilst balancing his relationship. During an interview with the James Bond star
Craig said – I have to pick my time well. If my girlfriend sees the box then its all
over. If I get some free time, when she goes away
for the weekend, Ill go and play some games.- That’s all well and good, but did you know
that it was Daniel Craig’s love for the James Bond video game series that sparked his interest
in one day playing that character. Hes even attributed much of his ability to
get into a character by first playing a video game similar to the film hes auditioning for. Which is most likely why he played a lot of
Halo while gearing up for the film Cowboys and Aliens. Funny enough though hes not that fond of ultra
violent games saying – I can play them for half an hour then I feel dirty. Vice City for example. I think, oh yes, alright, I’ve stolen 18 cars. That’s enough now. #3 Henry Cavill
This is perhaps one of the craziest celebrities you didnt know were a massive gamer. What would our life be like if Henry hadnt
come along to play the role of Superman, well that reality nearly existed. Henry Cavill was so addicted to playing World
of Warcraft that it almost cost him his role as Clark Kent in Man of Steel. Allegedly Zack Snyder had called Cavill to
offer him the role, but due to a more pressing raid happening in the game Henry completely
ignored it. Thankfully after he had completed his world
of warcraft game he was able to call Zack back and confirm his availability. Had he not stopped after that and returned
the call who knows what Henry’s career would look like now. #2 Justin Bieber
Bieber who rose to unimaginable heights for someone so young has been faced with numerous
scandals because well thats what happens when you give a 17 year old kid money and fame. Everything from being pulled over for speeding,
having wild house and even showing up two hours late for his own concert. Why was he so late you ask? Well the Biebs was far too busy playing video
games to realize that he was going to be hours late for his own concert. Not exactly the best way to appease your fans,
but also something any kid would do if they were a millionaire. In fact we think Justin is so popular he probably
could sell out an arena with the sole purpose of just watching him play video games on stage. Maybe with his album playing in the background. #1 Mila Kunis
One of the most surprising and intriguing massive celebrity gamers is Mila Kunis. Mila doesnt just love video games, shes obsessed
to the point of being in on the lingo. During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel he even
poked fun at the inside baseball language she was spouting when asked about World of
Warcraft. At the 2012 San Diego Comic Con, Kunis admitted
that she is hopelessly addicted to video games, specifically World of Warcraft. At one point she had to quit cold turkey adding
that there really is no middle ground for her. Its either not playing at all or fully indulging
the habit. And that has been the Top 10 Celebrities You
