63 and Scoring in Soccer and in Life | The Game Unites Us

>>Jean Akre: The last time I touched a soccer ball, it was in 2003. The cleats were in storage until today. I grew up in the ’60s, idolizing Pelé, if you know Pelé, the king of football. That’s the guy that I want to be like. In my generation, soccer was not something that you want to do for a living. Really, when your parents hear that you are playing soccer, you are in big trouble, because when you have passion for something, nobody can stop you. It was a good memory to come back in and do what you love to do. I strongly believe that soccer and sport in general unite people.>>Jean Akre: Go, there you go, there you go! Pass! Every time there is sport, like Olympics, that brings all the nations, the people, no matter the creed or race, together. See how harmonious it is to bring people together as the whole. I wish we could make that every day.>>All: ¡Váyanse! Yeah! I got excited, really. I think I will go back and play again. It’s just the beginning for me, yes.
